It’s interesting, to say the least, that after living over a quarter of a century in the world I often find myself reflecting on my own character. Am I a good person? Do I do the right thing whenever I can? What exactly has shaped me to be the person I am today? I have a never-ending list of questions about my personality and genuine self that I fear I might not get answers to. Yet, asking these questions and evaluating myself are all part of growing and learning.
Today’s Topic: Are laptops being replaced by tablets and phones?
I still can fondly recall the first laptop I ever had. It was gifted to me by my brother as a Christmas present, and I spent my entire winter break using it. The only other piece of equipment I could use to access the internet at the time was the ‘family computer’, a large, bulky box that relied on dial-up. I was in my early teens at the time, and although the majority of my friends had WiFi in their houses, I was not so fortunate. With my flip phone and laptop, I made the most of my two weeks of freedom from tests and essays utilizing the notepad, word programs, and built-in games (side-note, I’m absolutely addicted to solitaire because of the hours I spent playing it on my first laptop!).
Today’s Topic: How creativity differs from person to person
We’ve all seen or heard something in our lives that’s made us stop and think, “Why would a person ever make that?” Whether it’s a song filled with unnecessary profanity or a ridiculously detailed painting of genitalia, there is always some form of creativity behind every piece of original content. Mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins; families can be big, small, complicated, straightforward, estranged, diverse, and more. The generic picture many have of a standard family (somewhat due to social media, marketing, and advertisements) is a mother, father, and two children, generally a boy and a girl. Today’s Topic: Does the changing of seasons really change your mood?
Whether you love winter, summer, spring, or autumn, many people say that the changing of the seasons often brings about a drastic change in their mood or personality. Are these changes the result of the weather? Or is it because there are more holidays, events, memories, or celebrations during one season compared with others? Every person has their own unique experiences, and every person has a right to feel however they want to feel during any season.
